In War and Peace: Collected Memories of Birmingham’s Poles

An oral history project funded by the Lottery Heritage Fund in the UK, it told the little-known story of World War Two when hundreds of thousands of Poles were deported to the far-flung corners of the Soviet Union. I helped conduct interviews with some of the survivors about their lives and wartime experiences in preparation for a booklet and an exhibition in Birmingham Central Library.
